Taliban . . . . .Thud!

One would think it was going to be a simple and safe walk back home after relaxing in the cooling afternoon air. The conversation trickled on from the table we had been sitting at while the sun dipped further behind the mountains.

With that the uncertain happened. That black four by four raced down the service road and swerved past a parked car. The instant thought wasn't there long enough before that ominous arm stretched through the window. "This can't be good," my mind said and a brief shudder surged through my body.

Then, along with the assailant's loud cry and quick attack it happened. "Taliban . . . . ." A brief glipse of a small globe-like object moving towards me. THUD!!! Right in my chest, "am I okay? what just happened?" My many questions were answered as a wet warming sensation moved across my right side. "well, good thing it wasn't any worse . . . ."

Thanks to you Carnival I had been hit. The strange drive-by-water-ballooning phenomenon had gotten the best of me.
