Reality

I have been in Colombia for less than 48 hours and I have already been struck with an unmistakable reality.  People in the world do regrettable and terrible things.  Yet, it´s one thing to awknowledge this truth and another to truly mourn over it. 

As I sat over lunch with Brian yesterday

and heard stories of the boys at the farm;

 or saw the girls in the day program; even

seeing two teenagers sprinting down the

street today as motorcycles sped after then;

(they had just robbed someone, it was 1:00 pm)

My perspective on sin and wrongdoing has been

Challenged.

I´m not sure what these next 6 weeks will have to offer me.  Moreover, how much I will be changed by what I see in this place or experience.  I am excited to be a different man and a better one through it all.
